The Hive is our school-run, term-time only, breakfast and after school club.
Breakfast club runs from 7:45am to 8:45am daily with breakfast served until 8:15am.
After school club runs until 6:00pm Mondays to Thursdays, and 5:30pm on Fridays.
On arrival at the club, children are given a small snack of fruit and yoghurt, followed by something a little more substantial at around 4:30pm. A variety of activities and games are available and children are encouraged to try something new. At present, we are maximising opportunities to spend time outside whenever possible.
Children in KS1 will be read to daily as a group, and children in KS2 are expected to read independently for 10 minutes each day. They are also given the opportunity to do homework on a tablet, but this is not enforced.
Bookings for all sessions can be made up until midday the day before the booking, depending on availability.
Please register and make bookings on the booking system.
Full bookings information can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
For children who come to The Hive the same sessions every week, you can now use Contract Bookings. This is effectively a rolling contract and, once you have booked your required sessions for a week, the system will reserve your child’s place using the same pattern for every available week, and will then generate a fee each month. Fees become due on the last day of each month for the sessions running the following month. This is payable by any of our usual payment methods. You will still be able to book additional ‘Ad hoc’ bookings in addition to your scheduled bookings as long as spaces are available.
Parents can cancel a booking up until midday 1 day before the booking and will not be charged for the cancelled session. Any cancelled sessions after this point will be charged for in full. Cancellations must be made via the booking system.
