Every pupil in St Lawrence belongs to a house. The houses; Blue, Green, Red and Yellow are central to many areas of school life. The system encourages a sense of belonging: all family members are put in the same house, pupils wear their house colours as their PE t shirt and at various events throughout the year the houses mix and work together.

Pupils gain House Points for work, effort, kindness, responsibility and in recognition of achievement. There are various Inter House sporting events including the annual Sports Day and Swimming Gala and the houses compete for cups and medals.

Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to stand for House Captains each term and the whole house listens to their manifesto and then votes. The House Captains present the weekly tally of House Points at assembly and place the markers on the board so the whole school can keep track of their points.
