Collective worship

Daily collective worship takes place either as a school or class. This is always Christian or British values based and is designed to be relevant, interesting and inspiring. We use prayer and reflection, songs and music, drama and stories to promote a sense of awe and wonder, giving the children opportunities to appreciate the spiritual dimension and to express themselves spiritually.

Weekly on Fridays, this is a time to celebrate the learning that has taken place in school through class assemblies where parents are invited in. We use this time to celebrate children who have shown one of our St Lawrence Values or shown one of the St Lawrence Learner Attitudes to learning. This reinforces the values and attitudes we have been working on as a school.

As a school, we also go to St Lawrence Church for special services at the beginning and end of all terms including a Christmas and Easter service. Parents are invited to attend these services too.

We are also very lucky that we have our own chapel in school.
