The Parish priest, Revd. Dan Stork Banks takes regular school assemblies, and the school visits the church for six “Experience” events over two years (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Harvest, Eucharist, and Church). School church services are at the beginning of the year and the end of each term (the leavers service presents youth Bibles to children entering year 7). Partnerships are also being formed with Engage, a Christian educational charity now based in Woking, but started by members of St. Lawrence Church in the 1990’s.

Our two RE & Christian Worship Governors are Revd. Dan Stork Banks, and Geoff Barham, who is a retired head teacher and our Vice Chair of Governors. Geoff Barham leads frequent and regular sessions of collective worship in the school and is well-known to all the children, as well as being a longstanding St Lawrence worshipper. Richard Smithson, a member of the congregation also comes into school to assist children with their reading.

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) provides a number of Foundation Governors to the school’s governing body, further strengthening our close links between church and school.

The Head teacher provides a regular contribution to the parish’s church magazine ‘The Gridiron’, sharing all the school’s news and exciting achievements.

The church’s Director of Music and the school’s Music Coordinator collaborate to provide exciting musical opportunities for the children and our school choir regularly perform at church services and festivals.
