Safeguarding Statement

The governors and staff of St. Lawrence C of E Primary School are dedicated to providing a safe environment for our pupils to learn. We are comitted to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people by:

- Identifiying children who are suffering or likely to suffer from significant harm and taking appropriate action,
with the aim of making sure that they are kept safe both at home and in the education setting 
- Aiming to prevent unsuitable people from working with the children
- Promoting safe practice and challenging any poor or unsafe practice
- Working in an effective partnership with external providers of services for children
